Wausau, WI – June 26, 2017  The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Inc. (ASLMS) today announced the launch of the ASLMS Career Center, a new online career center designed specifically to connect employers and talent in the medical lasers and energy-based technology field. The ASLMS Career Center can be found at jobs.aslms.org and is accessible for ASLMS members and non-members alike.

“Providing our members with opportunities for professional development, networking and career growth is core to our mission to promote excellence in patient care by advancing biomedical application of lasers and other related technologies worldwide,” said Mathew M. Avram, MD, JD, President, ASLMS.  “The breadth of our member base also makes us the best channel available to employers to expose open jobs to active and passive job seekers in the laser and energy-based device industry. This service offers a variety of powerful tools to expose jobs to ASLMS professionals that simply don’t exist anywhere else.”

The service is free of charge for job seekers. ASLMS members and Annual Conference exhibitors enjoy discounted pricing on job posting products. The ASLMS employment marketplace distinguishes itself from generalist job boards in several ways:

  • A highly targeted focus on employment opportunities in the medical laser and energy-based technology sector

  • Employers can easily post jobs, track activity on those postings, send job opportunities to ASLMS members via email, generate brand exposure, expose jobs via the ASLMS social media channels and publications

  • Job seekers can utilize anonymous resume posting and job application—enabling candidates to stay connected to the employment market while maintaining full control over their confidential information

  • Members gain access to industry-specific jobs and top-quality candidates—often not seen on the mass job boards.

“This valuable career resource will serve members, help attract new members and generate non-dues revenue, while at the same time providing access for employers in the industry to a pool of highly qualified, niche talent,” said Avram.
