Educational Needs

  • Provide an overview of body contouring devices and how they specifically affect adipocyte viability.
  • Discuss specific devices in detail with a review of the literature and personal experience.
  • Discuss ways to enhance results by combining technologies.

Participants All physicians practicing surgical or non-surgical body contouring in their offices.

Background Requirements Participants should have knowledge of anatomy of the fat compartments of the trunk, extremities and face. Participants must also have familiarity of current classification for body contouring devices.

Instructional Content/Expected Learning Objectives It is expected that participants will be able to more critically judge the results from body contouring devices as well as better understand the mechanism of action on fat cells.
