This offering by the ASLMS, in conjunction with Professional Medical Education Association is accredited for 1.2 contact hours.   Professional Medical Education Association is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider # CEP 12386.  Note: Most State Boards of Nursing accept another State Board’s approval for granting credits.  Check with the Board of Nursing in your state for clarification.  Certificates of Attendance will be provided.

Objectives:

Educational Needs

This luncheon will review the current available modalities for fractional resurfacing including ablative and non-ablative lasers, ultrasound, and radiofrequency devices.  Patient education and initial consult, preoperative considerations, modality choice, treatment techniques, and post operative care will be reviewed.  The pros and cons of each modality will be discussed for several patient types.

Participants

This luncheon is designed for those attendees that have an interest in fractional skin rejuvenation. 

Background Requirements

Attendees should have a basic understanding of the fundamentals of skin biology, laser physics, and laser tissue interaction.

Instructional Content and/or Expected Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of the luncheon, the attendee will understand each modality and the appropriate treatment for individual patients and their concerns.
