Objectives:

Educational Needs

The objectives of this luncheon session are to discuss clinically relevant components of current devices used in common practice to “tighten the skin”. We will provide both evidence based rationale and our personal biases and preferences for the use of these devices, discuss specific parameters, and provide treatment tips on how to achieve the best results.

Participants

This luncheon session is designed for all physicians and allied health personnel who have an interest in tissue tightening, scientists developing lasers and new light-based technologies, and corporate employees involved in providing devices.

Background Requirements

Participants should have a basic understanding of lasers and laser-tissue interactions.

Instructional Content and/or Expected Learning Outcomes

The expected learning outcome is that the participants will understand the subtleties of what exactly tissue tightening is, gain specific knowledge about optimal systems for "skin tightening" of the mechanisms by which these different technologies work, and that experienced laser surgeons will be able to apply these treatment modalities in their clinical practices.
