Highlights of new features for the 2016 Annual Conference are:
NEW COURSES, WORKSHOPS, and SPECIAL SESSIONS
Gynecologic and Cutaneous Therapeutic Challenges and New Treatments
This new workshop will highlight the use of laser and energy-based devices with merged focus between the dermatology and OB/GYN specialty fields. The audience will learn the latest advances in RF needling devices, picosecond lasers, non-surgical body contouring and skin resurfacing. The rapidly expanding use of lasers and devices in women's health including laser and energy-based treatments for urinary incontinence and vulvovaginal atrophy will also be discussed.
New advances in cosmetic treatments and technology offer the perfect opportunity to explore the options for non-surgical rejuvenation of the neck area. This course will include new faculty and cutting edge treatments using the latest energy-based devices and procedures.
Luminary Rapid-Fire Energy-Based Device Pearls
This Expert Panel will heat up on Sunday presenting the “Best Pearls” from experts in this rapid-fire format. Luminaries will share current practice pearls and innovative techniques.
Special Session: Emerging Energy-Based Device Applications in Gynecology
A new feature for 2016 is the cross-over of laser and light-based technology in the field of Gynecology. This Expert Panel presentation will present hot topics with emphasis on the latest use of lasers and energy-based devices in this specialty. Join this session to explore a variety of innovative applications.

Non-Invasive Body Contouring Options
This course (formerly Skinny on Fat Reduction and Skin Tightening) recognizes the latest devices and applications and allows for greater exploration of new options for treatment.
Pediatric Laser Focus
Due to great feedback and a high demand, more time has been allotted to this course for more in-depth discussion. Topics include, but are not limited to, advances in pediatric laser medicine, safety and efficacy of laser and energy-based devices in children’s health, and involvement and training of residents in pediatric laser use.
Complications, Legal Issues, and Laser Safety
Join this workshop to explore and discuss cutaneous and ophthalmic complications from the use of energy-based devices and how to prevent and manage such complications. The session will explore laser safety topics and provide education applicable for RN’s, NP’s, PA’s, scientists, and clinicians. Focus will be on the importance of proper device use as well as risk reduction to prevent lawsuits and physician extender issues.

2nd Annual Celebration of ASLMS Women in Energy-Based Devices
Join us for an exciting evening of networking and inspiration at the 2nd annual Celebration of ASLMS Women in Energy-Based Devices! Guest presenters, including women from various career specialties, share advances in the field of energy-based device research, development, and application. Question and answer sessions and panelist presentations offer opportuntities to expand your knowledge and connect with peers, students/residents, and mentors. A light reception of hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be available during the event.
Tech Connect (non-CME) – Now on Friday and included in the Conference Fee!
A perennial favorite, Tech Connect returns on a new day and time. This popular and exciting session has been moved to Friday early evening to allow attendance for all. Listen and share feedback as this expert panel discusses their personal procedural and device preference, what works and how/why devices and techniques are used.
