Dr. Kristen M. Kelly is a board certified dermatologist and associate clinical professor at the University of California, Irvine. She attended the University of California, Los Angeles and graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She also attended the UCLA medical school and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed an internship in internal medicine and then a dermatology residency at UCI where she was given the residency teaching award. After residency, Dr. Kelly completed a fellowship in photomedicine and biomedical optics at the Beckman Laser Institute and then obtained an academic appointment in the department of dermatology at UC Irvine. Her research has helped to optimize cutaneous vascular lesion treatment, evaluate and refine epidermal cooling, and develop and evaluate non-ablative rejuvenation techniques. She lectures locally and nationally and has authored numerous scientific papers and several book chapters on dermatologic laser topics. Dr. Kelly is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and her research has been funded by the ASLMS, Dermatology Foundation and National Institutes of Health. Dr. Kelly has been an ASLMS fellow since 1998. |
