American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery Hosts its 42nd Annual Conference

Wausau, WI The Annual Conference of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) is regarded as the top international meeting for the exchange of information on medical laser and energy-based technologies. 2023 marks the 42^nd year of the ASLMS Annual Conference.  

ASLMS 2023 will be held April 12–16, 2023 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Two pre-conference sessions will take place on April 12 and the 4-day conference begins on April 13.

The ASLMS Annual Conference is known as the place where all the latest breakthroughs in the field of medical lasers and energy-based devices are first presented and discussed. The 2023 abstract sessions will feature hundreds of exciting cutting-edge research studies in clinical applications, basic science, and translational research.

On Friday, April 14, the Plenary Session will feature ASLMS Keynote Speaker Dr. Marcia Rieke, Regents Professor of Astronomy at the University of Arizona. Dr. Rieke led the project to develop the near-infrared camera on the James Webb Space Telescope. She will share insights into the 20-year project, some of its exciting scientific results, and what they mean for our understanding of how the universe began and is changing over time.

A new special session this year is Evolving/Emerging Technology: Device Demonstrations, featuring six innovative devices that will play a key role in advancing patient care. Treatment procedures, recorded in a clinical setting, will be shown, and expert physicians will be live on stage to facilitate the discussion.
