The Annual Scientific Conference of the
Society is the largest conference on laser and energy-based technologies for
medicine held in the United States. The ASLMS Annual Conference provides
a forum at which a multidisciplinary array of scientists, clinicians,
residents, students, health care professionals, and industry
representatives can learn, share, investigate, and create ideas; the
outcomes of which are clinical applications that can and have changed
the world of patient care.

Attendees are free to attend the specialty breakout sessions and

variety of courses, from Fundamentals of Lasers to intermediate and
advanced courses, provide further educational opportunities.
2016 CONFERENCE CO-CHAIRS
Jeremy B. Green, M.D., is a fellowship-trained, board-certified Miami dermatologist who graduated cum laude with a bachelor degree from Princeton University. He completed his medical education at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where he graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honors. He trained at the University of Miami Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery where he served as its chief resident. Dr. Green completed advanced fellowship training in laser and cosmetic surgery at SkinCare Physicians in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Green has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and lectures both nationally and internationally on cosmetic dermatology and laser surgery. He has lectured at the annual meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, among others. He has been interviewed by numerous media outlets including Health Magazine and the Royal Caribbean Port Shopping Network. Additionally, he has appeared as a guest on the CBS show "The Doctors," as well as "Ask Dr. Brandt!" on the SiriusXM™ Stars Network. Dr. Green is also a voluntary assistant professor at the University of Miami department of dermatology where he provides patient care at Jackson Memorial Hospital and participates in resident education. Dr. Green has served on a number of ASLMS committees.
Dr. Ashish Bhatia is an internationally recognized expert in dermatologic surgery and cosmetic surgery. His expertise includes facial and body aesthetic surgery, skin cancer therapy, Mohs & reconstructive surgery, laser surgery, and skin resurfacing procedures. He has published extensively in journals and textbooks, and is a sought after teacher, speaker, and instructor. Through his clinical research, publications, public service initiatives, and the use of innovative technologies, Dr. Bhatia has made a broad range of intellectual and practical contributions to the fields of dermatology and dermatologic surgery. Dr. Bhatia received his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honors society and earned awards for both achievement and service. He completed his residency in dermatology at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals where he served as chief resident. Subsequently, he completed an intensive fellowship in Mohs Surgery, cutaneous oncology, reconstruction, cosmetic and laser surgery at SkinCare Physicians in Boston, Massachusetts under the direction of the leaders in the field from Boston University, Harvard University, and Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Bhatia is an associate professor of clinical dermatology at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Bhatia's memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American College of Mohs Surgery, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Bhatia has served on a number of ASLMS committees.
Dr. Allison graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor of sciences degree from Brooklyn College in 1983. In 1987, he received his M.D. from State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical School. Dr. Allison completed his internship at Kings County Hospital Center in 1988 and completed his residency in Radiation Oncology in 1991 at SUNY Health Science Center, where he was also named as chief resident. He then joined SUNY-Buffalo and the NCI designated Roswell Park Cancer Institute as an attending physician and assistant then associate professor of radiation oncology. In 2000, Dr. Allison joined the ECU Brody School of Medicine as professor and chair of radiation oncology and also served as director of the Leo W. Jenkins Cancer Center. In 2009, he joined 21st century Oncology as medical director. He is a board certified radiation oncologist by the American Board of Radiology and a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Allison has authored over 100 oncology publications and has delivered over 200 presentations at oncology meetings and forums worldwide. Dr. Allison has served on a number of ASLMS committees.
