ASLMS 2022

COVID-19 Safety Guidelines for In-Person Events

The guidelines below apply to all in-person participants at ASLMS 2022, including but not limited to registered attendees, sponsors, volunteers, speakers, and exhibitors.

Our Commitment for a Safe and Successful Event

We are excited about the opportunity to meet in person in San Diego for the ASLMS 2022 Conference. The health and safety of our attendees, speakers, exhibitors, staff, and other meeting personnel is a top priority. With this in mind, ASLMS will follow the guidance from federal, state, and local authorities regarding COVID-19. Requirements for all participants may include verification of fully vaccinated status or pre-entry negative test result, plus a request for masks to be worn while indoors. Requirements may change so please visit this page again as the event approaches.

Statement of Personal Responsibility

All attendees will be asked to acknowledge this when registering.

ASLMS takes very seriously the risks associated when attending a live event during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants agree to take full personal responsibility for themselves. You will not hold anyone else accountable, including ASLMS, its staff, its suppliers, partners, or sponsors, should you contract an illness or should anything else happen to you during your participation in an ASLMS event.

ASLMS will follow the guidance from federal, state, and local authorities regarding COVID-19 for mega events as defined by the San Diego Convention Center. Requirements for all participants may include verification of fully vaccinated status or pre-entry negative test result, plus a request for masks to be worn while indoors. These guidelines are ever-evolving, and you can find current information for the State of California and San Diego County via the ASLMS Conference website here.

California Department of Public Health recent updates:

  • Vaccination/Testing Requirements:
    • Effective April 1, 2022, the State's requirement for vaccine verification or proof of negative tests for attendees at Indoor Mega Events is no longer in effect. ASLMS will continue to follow the federal, state, and local guidelines and advise attendees if anything changes.
  • Masks/Face Coverings:
    • As of March 1, 2022, the State is no longer requiring masks. Masks are strongly recommended in most indoor settings. ASLMS recommends that Annual Conference participants wear masks while in the convention center and meeting rooms, but this is not a requirement.

Please monitor your health status and do not attend the ASLMS in-person event if you are symptomatic in any way or if you believe you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.

Please take necessary precautions while at the event including, but not limited to, engaging in appropriate physical distancing, minimizing face touching, frequently washing hands, and avoiding risky environments.

Please respect other participants who choose to wear a mask, be physically distant from one another, and choose not to shake hands or hug.

For international travelers, refer to government requirements regarding requirements to travel to the United States and return to your country.
