Milind Vasudev, BS

Lead Producer

Milind is a third-year medical student at UC Irvine interested in Head and Neck Surgery. Originally from San Jose, he graduated from UCLA majoring in Neuroscience and worked largely in disadvantaged community health. He spends his free time being in the sun, whether at the beach or on a hike, and is always interested in a game of pick-up basketball.

Katelyn Dilley, BS

Co-Producer

Katelyn Dilley recently graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Biomedical Engineering: Premedical. During her gap years, she will continue as a Research Specialist in Dr. Brian Wong’s Lab at Beckman Laser Institute, focusing on reshaping and clearing of the cornea. Katelyn enjoys playing volleyball, cooking, and retrying foods she does not like in her spare time.

Donggyoon Hoong

Co-Producer

Born and raised in S.Korea, Donggyoon loves exploring various cultures and has traveled to 45 countries. He meditates every day and has been an avid opera enthusiast, having watched more than 30 repertoires!

Donggyoon received both his bachelor's and master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Cooper Union in New York. Currently with Dr. Wong’s lab at Beckman Laser Institute and Dr. Ahuja's lab at Children's Health Orange County, Donggyoon is working on enhancing the manufacturing process of the OCT probe.

Ted Nguyen, BS

Co-Producer

Ted Nguyen is a fourth-year medical student at the University of California, Irvine currently in a research year with Dr. Brian Wong and Dr. Edward Kuan. He is interested in applying into otolaryngology with research interests in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, rhinology and skull-base surgery, and head and neck surgery. He spends his free time with his Corgi, working out, and likes to boast that he was once a record-holding powerlifter.

Miranda An

Miranda is a second-year medical student at UCI. She is originally from Boston, MA (currently loving SoCal life!) and graduated from Cornell University. During her gap years, she spent time performing research at Mass Eye and Ear and continues to enjoy exploring different research interests such as cutaneous oncology and diagnostic and imaging technologies. In her free time, she loves to catch sunsets, go on long walks, and trying new smoothie bowls!

Michelle Chernyak is a first year medical student at UC Irvine School of Medicine. Prior to medical school, she received her Bachelor’s in Biology from UCLA. She is currently conducting ophthalmology research at UCI with Dr. Mitul Mehta. In her free time, Michelle enjoys cooking, boxing, and spending time outside.

Nicole Liu Clarke is a first year medical student at UCI interested in dermatology. She graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology. Her research interests include cutaneous oncology and immunological dermatology. Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking with her goldendoodle Nala, finding the best restaurants in the city, and painting.

Rachel Elsanadi, BS  

Student Moderator

Rachel Elsanadi is a medical student at UC Irvine School of Medicine currently taking a gap year between her 3rd/4th year to conduct research under Dr. Kristen Kelly, chair of the Department of Dermatology. She will be applying to residency in the 2023-2024 cycle. Rachel's research and clinical interests include vascular birthmarks, skin cancer, development of new laser applications and laser in skin of color patients, and use of non-invasive imaging modalities. During her free time, Rachel enjoys travel, trying new restaurants, playing piano, and sewing.

Ellen Hong 

Student Moderator

Ellen Hong is a third-year medical student at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine interested in applying into otolaryngology. She graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Classics, minoring in Human Biology. Prior to medical school, she performed research under Dr. Brian Wong, which introduced her to the field of ENT. In her free time, Ellen enjoys knitting, lifting, and bouldering.

Resident Moderator

Anna-Marie Hosking is a 3rd year and chief dermatology resident at the University of California, Irvine. She is also currently serving as the ALSMS Resident/Fellow Board Representative and is passionate about working with lasers and light-based technologies. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, surfing, hiking, and trying new recipes.

Payvand Kamrani, DO 

Resident Moderator

Payvand Kamrani is a second year dermatology resident at Penn State Milton Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA (aka the sweetest place on earth). She's a proud alum of North Carolina State University and PCOM. She loves to bike, listen to audiobooks, and cuddle with her feline friend. And in the future, she's hopes to complete a laser and cosmetic surgery fellowship following residency.

Colin Kincaid

Colin is a medical student at UC Irvine currently completing a dermatology research fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Natasha Mesinkovska. Prior to medical school, he worked as an engineer in the medical device industry where he brought several new surgical instruments to market. His current research interest is treatments of alopecia areata and other hair loss disorders. In his free time he enjoys sailing and hiking with his dog, Frankie.

Student Moderator

Joy Li is a second-year medical student at the UC Irvine School of Medicine. Hailing from Los Angeles, she graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Molecular Cell Biology, minoring in Dance and Performance Studies. Her research interests include skin cancer, complex dermatology, and harm reduction. In her free time, Joy enjoys exploring local food scenes and attending music festivals.

A medical student at UC Irvine School of Medicine, Ms. Lopez is passionate about dermatology and optimizing patient care.  As a moderator for the ASLMS 2023 Webinar, Ms. Lopez looks forward to improving patient outcomes by supporting the ASLMS endeavor of educating laser medicine professionals on current research and practices.  Prior to entering the field of medicine, Ms. Lopez practiced law, served in the Air Force JAG Corps, and undertook international programming.  Ms. Lopez earned her JD at UCLA School of Law, MBA at University of Chicago Booth School of Business, LLM at NYU School of Law, and MA at BIOLA University.  In addition to serving at her church, Ms. Lopez enjoys traveling and studying languages with her family.

Alexandria (Lexi) Riopelle is a second year dermatology resident at Boston University interested in pursuing a career in dermatologic surgery and cosmetic procedures. She graduated from medical school at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. In her free time, Lexi enjoys running, Soul Cycle, snowboarding, and cooking.

Ajay Nair Sharma, MD 

Resident Moderator

Ajay Nair Sharma is a first-year dermatology resident at the University of California, Irvine. Combining his training from both medical and business school, Ajay strives to address dermatologic disparities from a systems level. His research interests focus on oncologic care in high risk and underserved populations, and he plans to pursue a laser and procedural fellowship after residency. More personally, Ajay enjoys playing soccer, medical artwork, and public speaking.

Britney Nguyen is a first year medical student at UC Irvine School of Medicine who is interested in dermatology. She graduated from UC Irvine with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. Outside of medicine, she enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, and going on walks.

Asher Park is a first year medical student at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Prior to medical school, he performed research under Dr. Wong’s lab at the UCI Beckman Laser Institute. Asher completed his bachelor’s degree in Biological Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and in his free time enjoys all things volleyball and backpacking.

Lily Park, MD  

Resident Moderator

After studying mathematics in Boston College, Dr. Park conducted clinical research in the Radiation Oncology department at Massachusetts General Hospital, which led her to her path in medicine at Touro University-NV. After completion of her internal medicine residency in Michigan, she worked as a hospitalist in San Francisco and Modesto. She fell in love with dermatology and trained in clinical dermatology in Oregon and Texas prior to delivering dermatologic care to the underserved population in the greater Sacramento area. Then, she decided to gain deeper knowledge in dermatology at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, where she is currently a resident physician. In her spare time, she enjoys rock climbing and surfing.

Susruthi Rajanala, MD  

Resident Moderator

Susruthi Rajanala is a second year dermatology resident at Boston University, and is planning to pursue a laser and procedural dermatology fellowship after residency. She graduated from BU School of Medicine as part of the Seven-Year Liberal Arts/Medical Education Program. She has a longstanding interest in academic research and focuses on skin-of-color and social media related projects. In her spare time, Susruthi enjoys dancing, painting, and exploring the Boston food scene.

Jennifer Roux

Jennifer Roux is a second-year medical student at UC Irvine School of Medicine who is interested in dermatology and pediatrics. Her broad research and clinical interests include cutaneous oncology, laser and light-based therapy for cutaneous conditions, and understanding the psychosocial context of dermatologic diseases. Outside of medicine, she enjoys going to farmer’s markets, keeping active, and cooking new recipes.

Karishma Shah is a first-year medical student at UC Irvine School of Medicine. She graduated from UCLA last year with an undergraduate degree in Microbiology, Immunology, & Molecular genetics. Her current interests are varied ranging from scar treatment to cardiovascular health. She is currently working to begin a research project in immunological dermatology with Dr. Michelle Min. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and exploring the outdoors.

Shawn Shih is a third year dermatology resident at Boston University and is planning on practicing general, procedural, and cosmetic dermatology after completing residency. In his free time, he enjoys singing karaoke, dancing, and playing piano.

Cindy Vu is a first year medical student at UC Irvine School of Medicine who is interested in dermatology. She graduated from UC Irvine with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. In her free time, Cindy enjoys attending music festivals, playing video games, making DIY jewelry, and exploring cute cafes.
