Review Criteria for Recorded Presentations

  • Adherence to format requirements (below).
  • No typographical and grammatical errors.
  • Good quality video and sound.
  • Clear images - if used.

Recorded Presentation Format

  • Use PowerPoint, Keynote, Zoom or other presentation systems to record your voice over your slide presentation.
  • You may either record a video of you presenting with no slides, or a voice recording of you presenting with slides. Consider the best format for your presentation.
  • Presentations must be submitted in MP4 format. (see steps below)
  • Use 16:9 ratio (widescreen format)
  • If your talk is educational in nature (i.e. a lecture for a course) a disclosure slide listing any and all financial relationships with commercial interests for the past 12 months must be included at the beginning of the presentation.
  • Limit the presentation to 25 slides maximum. Focus on the most important details.
  • Maintain an even paced, easy-to-follow presentation rate.
  • Commercial slides and product promotion is not permitted. Avoid advertising trade names, corporate logos and product-group messages.
  • Note that use of embedded videos will slow your upload time.
  • URLs and other internet links will not be supported.

NOTE - Please review your video prior to submitting to ensure quality.

Recording Options

Use any program that allows recording of voice during a slide presentation. See suggestions below:

Recording Tips

  • Use a hard-wired internet connection (rather than WiFi) to help avoid service interruptions or "glitches".
  • Create a script and practice your presentation to check sound and visual quality.
  • Record in a quiet environment free of noise such as typing, tapping, voices, etc.
  • Use an external microphone for best sound quality. Regardless, be sure to test your microphone for best quality.
